Difference Between Web Designing, Web Programming and Web Development




The term web designing, web development and web programming are often used interchangeably  by most people to mean the same thing. But there is a difference between these three terms. Now let's look at the difference between a web designer, web programmer and a web developer.

Web designing

Website design entails adding graphics content to the web.A web designer uses software such as Adobe dreamweaver, photoshop, fireworks and other websites design software to create your website. They know little or nothing about how to code a website using html. A web designer designs they static content of a website using web design software.

Web programming

Web programmers are the geeks responsible for coding a website. They write the code that runs a website. Web programmers are mostly categorized into front end programmer and back end programmers  The front end programmers develop the graphical content of a website. This is the page that is displayed by a web browser when a user visit a website. They develop the static content of a website using languages such as html,Css and javascript/Jquery. A back end programmer on the other hand develops the code that runs on your web server. Web programmers uses programming languages such as PHP  and MySQL,  python etc to develop dynamic website. They develop the database that stores clients Data. E.g when a client register on a website through a registration form,  the web programmers are the ones that write the code that submit the Users Data  from the registration form to the database.

Web development

Web developer are like the middle man between  a web programmer and a web designer. A web developer knows website design alongside with web programming. He/she can code a website from scratch, perform server side scripting using PHP, python etc. They are mostly called full stack developers.
