How to manually or automatically configure Airtel Internet

 

 

You can manually or automatically configure your Airtel lines on your phones and other devices.

This post shows you how. To automatically configure your device follow these steps:

1. Text INTERNET , PHONE MAKE and MODEL to 232

If it is possible for your phone to receive settings automatically, you will be sent a notification to ‘save’ the settings you will be sent shortly. Although some phones may come with configuration settings beforehand, you can use this to confirm. To manually configure your Airtel line on your phone, follow the following steps:

1. Go to Settings on your phone and then go the Network and Internet
2. Proceed to APN and edit.
3.  Input the following:

• Account name: Airtel
• APN Name: internet.ng.airtel.com
• Proxy: 172.018.254.005
• Username: Internet
• Password: Internet
• Port : 8080
• Homepage : http://wap.ng.airtel.com

These settings apply for all Airtel GPRS and 3.5G.
